Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on the product requirements / specifications and supplier assessment criteria.
- Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with suppliers to secure favourable agreements and ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with the regulatory affairs team to assess supplier capabilities in ensuring product compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards.
- Conduct periodic costing analyses and continuously seek cost optimisation opportunities and efficiency improvements in product sourcing
- Constantly develop and negotiate alternative suppliers with competitive pricing and excellent product quality and services.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers through effective supplier relationship management.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and emerging suppliers to make informed sourcing decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of procurement, sourcing, and contracting experience.
- Relevant working experience in the healthcare / medical device industry is preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of sourcing processes, negotiation strategies, demand management, data analysis, and market analysis.
