Job Description

• Collaborate with Head of M&A to define the M&A strategy that aligns with the company’s long-term growth objectives and market positioning.
• Provide strategic insights and market intelligence to inform M&A decisions and identify key opportunities.
• Analyse industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging markets to assist in the development of an M&A pipeline.
• Ensure alignment of M&A activities with broader corporate strategy and business development initiatives.
• Lead efforts to identify potential acquisition targets and partnerships through proactive research, networking, and industry contacts.
• Support strategic decision-making by providing data-driven analysis of target companies' financials, market position, and potential synergies.
• Oversee the end-to-end execution of M&A transactions, including due diligence, structuring, negotiation, and closing.
• Coordinate with internal teams (finance, legal, operations) and external advisors to manage the due diligence process and identify risks and opportunities.
• Conduct financial and strategic analyses, including detailed financial modeling, to assess the value and fit of potential acquisitions.
• Oversee the preparation of required legal documentation, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
• Develop financial models and valuation analyses to assess the attractiveness of deals.
• Provide recommendations on deal structuring and financing options to maximize value and minimize risks.
• Conduct sensitivity and scenario analysis to assess various strategic options and deal outcomes.
• Serve as the main liaison for internal and external stakeholders throughout the M&A process, ensuring clear communication and alignment on objectives.
• Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and investment memoranda for senior leadership and the board of directors, outlining the strategic rationale and financial impact of potential transactions.
• Advise on negotiation strategies and work with legal counsel to draft and finalize key transaction documents.
• Lead/Assist the integration team to ensure the smooth transition of the acquired entity, addressing operational, financial, and cultural integration challenges.
• Monitor post-deal performance against KPIs and work to resolve any integration issues that may arise.
• Ensure the strategic objectives of the acquisition are realized through effective post-merger planning and execution.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. 
• MBA or relevant professional qualification ACCA/ICAEW/CPA/CFA
• Assistant Manager: 5+ years of experience in M&A, corporate finance, or investment banking, with a proven track record of successful deal execution.
Manager: 7+ years of experience in M&A, corporate finance, or investment banking, with a proven track record of successful deal execution
• Prior experience managing M&A transactions from target screening through to integration.
• Strong understanding of M&A strategy development, financial modelling, valuation techniques, and due diligence processes.
• Proven ability to assist in the development and execution of M&A strategies that align with business goals.
• Strong valuation and financial modelling capabilities.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling software.
• Ability to synthesize complex financial and strategic information for senior decision-makers.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
