Job Description

OVERVIEW

  • To ensure high reliability and effectiveness of all functions and operations activities of plant control system instrumentation, including troubleshooting, modifications, repairs and ensure efficient running of the Engineering - Control & Instrumentation team.
  • To enforce the company rules & regulations and implementation of ISO 9001/GMP requirements.
  • To standardise procedure and lead breakdown maintenance, preventive maintenance, and improvement projects. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Plan, coordinate, and oversee all control system and instrumentation activities in the plant. 
  2. Assign daily tasks to C&I engineering personnel and supervise their work. 
  3. Plan and assist in plant maintenance, ensuring proper functioning and prompt attention to breakdowns. 
  4. Execute instrumentation calibration according to required accuracy and frequency. 
  5. Oversee installation, testing, and continuous improvement of control systems and automation. 
  6. Prepare reports on engineering matters, including repairs, personnel, spare parts, and supplies. 
  7. Monitor and maintain appropriate spare parts stock and review documentation for accuracy. 
  8. Ensure compliance with regulatory inspections and update quality procedures and work instructions. 
  9. Support and train subordinates, conduct performance appraisals, and ensure standardization of all jobs. 
  10. Innovate processes, improve equipment reliability, update all reports, manage budgets, ensure health & safety compliance, and carry out tasks assigned by superiors. 

 

REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical, Control & Instrumentation, Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent.

 

Work Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Control and Instrumentation field or Fresh graduate with good attitude and initiative shall be considered. 

 

Technical and Professional Knowledge:

  • Knowledge in sensor and wiring installation.
  • Knowledge in Programming for PLC (Ladder Diagram) — Siemens, Fatek.
