Job Description
Job Purpose
Oversees the reliability and effectiveness of plant machinery through troubleshooting, modifications, and repairs while ensuring efficient operation of the Engineering team. Enforces company rules, regulations, and compliance with ISO 9001 and GMP requirements.
Responsibilities
1. Enforce company rules, policies, and compliance with ISO 9001/GMP requirements while standardizing procedures across operations.
2. Lead and guide the Engineering team in breakdown maintenance, preventive maintenance, annual maintenance execution, and improvement projects to minimize downtime and improve OEE.
3. Troubleshoot machinery, determine necessary repairs or modifications, and oversee proper segregation and disposal of damaged items.
4. Monitor and maintain the condition of tools, equipment, and plant facilities to ensure safe and reliable operations.
5. Prepare and review budgets, control expenditures, and generate required reports (daily, weekly, monthly, annual, and maintenance-related).
6. Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with ISO, including checklists, commissioning, and service reports.
7. Lead, coach, and train subordinates to build competency, motivation, discipline, teamwork, and alignment with management’s direction.
8. Liaise with contractors, suppliers, government officers, and other departments/plants for audits, projects, modifications, and cross-departmental activities.
9. Rectify complaints from internal and external customers and provide timely updates to superiors on outstanding issues.
10. Drive innovation, continuous improvement, health and safety standards (including LOTO), and standardization of processes to enhance productivity and reliability.
