Job Description
Job Purpose
Deliver engineering leadership for cogeneration, boiler, and solar PV systems by driving reliability, efficiency, and statutory compliance through technical analysis, performance optimisation, and project execution in alignment with sustainability and organisational standards.
Responsibilities
1. Provide technical governance for cogeneration, boiler, and Solar PV systems to maintain operational efficiency and statutory compliance.
2. Perform engineering analyses including efficiency benchmarking, heat-rate evaluation, emissions tracking, and solar performance ratio assessment.
3. Review and approve technical designs, engineering drawings, and project specifications in accordance with OEM and regulatory standards.
4. Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring equipment failures and implement sustainable corrective solutions.
5. Manage Long-Term Service Agreement (LTSA) activities, including major inspections, performance KPI monitoring, and cost justification reviews.
6. Lead and coordinate plant modification, upgrade, and retrofit projects to improve energy generation efficiency and system reliability.
7. Analyse plant operational data such as generation output, fuel efficiency, thermal ratio, and solar yield to drive performance improvement initiatives.
8. Drive compliance with HSE, DOE, ST, and DOSH requirements while enforcing risk mitigation and safe work practices.
9. Act as Permit Approver and lead risk assessments, including HAZOP and JSA, for major outages and high-risk maintenance activities.
10. Prepare and present technical reports and performance reviews to management, supporting data-driven decision-making and stakeholder engagement.
Qualification and Experience
1. Bachelorâs Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Power Plant ,Energy Engineering or any related field
2. Minimum 1 year of working experience in power generation, boiler systems, or renewable energy projects (fresh graduates may also be considered).
3. Exposure to plant operations, maintenance, or engineering project management is an advantage.
4. Solid understanding of cogeneration, boiler systems, and solar PV technologies.
5. Knowledge of regulatory requirements (ST, DOSH, DOE, OSHA, EECA 2024).
6. Proficiency in engineering analysis, efficiency benchmarking, RCA, and project coordination.
7. Familiarity with digital monitoring systems (SCADA, predictive analytics, smart metering).
