Job Description
OVERVIEW
Drive automation, digitalization, and Industry 4.0 initiatives through the design and integration of control, instrumentation, and data systems in glove manufacturing. The Engineer develops and implements advanced control strategies, sensor networks, and real-time monitoring systems to improve process efficiency, traceability, and predictive maintenance capabilities. This role works closely with multidisciplinary teams to enable smart factory transformation aligned with Hartalega’s digital roadmap.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Automation & Control System Design:
Design, configure, and implement PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems for process control and monitoring.
- Instrumentation:
Specify, calibrate, and integrate sensors, transmitters, and control devices to ensure accurate and reliable data acquisition.
- System Integration:
Integrate control systems with MES, data historians, and IoT platforms to support data-driven operations.
- Programming & Testing:
Develop PLC logic, SCADA screens, and system test scripts for commissioning and troubleshooting.
- Data Analytics & IR 4.0 Solutions:
Support implementation of digital tools, dashboards, and analytics for predictive maintenance and process optimization.
- Project Execution:
Collaborate with engineers, vendors, and IT teams to execute automation and digitalization projects according to schedule.
- Compliance & Cybersecurity:
Ensure automation systems comply with safety, reliability, and cybersecurity standards.
- Documentation:
Maintain up-to-date software backups, control logic documentation, and change management records.
- Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for automation upgrades, data integration, and smart manufacturing solutions.
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Control & Instrumentation, or Automation Engineering.or any related Engineering discipline.
Work Experience:
- 1 year of relevant experience in automation, instrumentation, or digitalization projects within a manufacturing or process industry.
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
Technical and Professional Knowledge:
- Proficient in PLC, SCADA, and HMI programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of sensors, instrumentation calibration, and signal communication (analog, digital, fieldbus).
- Familiar with industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profinet) and IoT integration.
- Understanding of MES, data visualization, and cloud-based analytics systems.
- Knowledge of ISO, GMP, and SHEQ standards.
- Analytical, innovative, and solution-oriented mindset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and automation software tools.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
