Job Description

OVERVIEW

  • To support the Logistics & Warehouse Manager in the smooth and efficient overseeing the back warehouse including Chemical, Spare Part, Former Store and Receiving.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensuring process control are established and adhered to handle stock movement and inventory control according to procedures and work instruction. Also to contribute of idea and improvement for department and to liaise closely with inter department personnel’s closely for effective and efficient supporting roles for all the mentioned section above.
  • Ensure items in related warehouses are neatly arranged with proper segregation, identification and labelling.
  • Liaise closely with QA/Receiving/Prod on incoming material from supplier and ensure good items received and stored in the related store.
  • Monitor on the departmental budget for each warehouse section.
  • To supervise daily warehouse operation to ensure effective supply and inventory system to further prevent disruption of supply.
  • Ensure daily cycle count activity is carried out to maintain stock accuracy for related section.
  • Active monitoring in inventory aging of all related items, while to arrange accordingly with other department to clear the aged inventory.
  • Overseeing stock control, order processing to ensure adequate stock level and replenish stock items until the desired lean level of holding days.
  • To train, develop and motivate subordinates to achieve high performance standards.
  • To initiate problem-solving and trouble-shooting processes and reduce warehouse operation related problems and delays.
  • To ensure goods receiving on time and accurate manner, put away, storage and stock out in the related warehouse according to SOP.
  • To review and update the quality system procedures and work instructions for related department.
  • Active monitoring in end user special requested part that still pending to charge out from store to ensure no aging of items in store.
  • Set up improvement review and monitoring activity for overmax of spare part items to ensure overmax items existed in store to be in healthy and justifiable state.
  • Former stock replenishment and advice delivery schedule by both purchasing department and supplier.
  • Ensure all material movements are instantly and accurately verified and documented.
  • To develop, execute and improvise warehouse & logistic system and operation process flow.
  • Communicating well with other department and to give necessary support to achieve organizational goals.
  • To optimize operation efficiency and reduce processing waste.
  • To ensure proper upkeep, storage and effective warehouse arrangement for efficient visual management.
  • To ensure the warehouse is continuously well organized and tidy documented.
  • Ensure all store facilities, equipment and tools are properly maintained and comply with safety and environment guidelines.
  • Provide training, guidance and coaching to subordinates (if any).

REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • Bachelor Degree in Business Studies/ Administration / Management or equivalent.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of leading experience in supply chain functions with good hands-on experience in the Planning, Logistic or Warehouse management and improvement process.

Technical and Professional Knowledge:

  • Proficient in MS Applications, particularly Word & Excel and very familiar with WMS concept and application tools.
