Job Description

Job Purpose

Lead automation, digitalisation, and Industry 4.0 initiatives by designing and integrating control, instrumentation, and data systems for glove manufacturing operations.

Develop and implement advanced control strategies, sensor networks, and real-time monitoring systems to improve process efficiency, traceability, and predictive maintenance.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver smart factory transformation aligned with Hartalega’s digital roadmap.

Responsibilities

1. Design, configure, and implement PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems for industrial process control and monitoring.

2. Specify, calibrate, and integrate sensors, transmitters, and control devices to deliver accurate and reliable data acquisition.

3. Integrate control and automation systems with MES, data historians, and IoT platforms to enable data-driven operations.

4. Develop PLC programs, SCADA interfaces, and test scripts for system commissioning, validation, and troubleshooting.

5. Implement digital dashboards, analytics tools, and Industry 4.0 solutions for predictive maintenance and process optimisation.

6. Execute automation and digitalisation projects by coordinating with engineering, vendor, and IT teams to meet project timelines.

7. Apply safety, reliability, and cybersecurity standards across automation and control system architectures.

8. Maintain software backups, control logic documentation, and change management records for all automation systems.

9. Identify and implement automation upgrades, data integration enhancements, and smart manufacturing initiatives.

Qualification and Experience

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Control and Instrumentation, Automation Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

2. Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in automation, instrumentation, or digitalisation projects within a manufacturing or process industry; fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

3. Proficiency in PLC, SCADA, and HMI programming using Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or equivalent platforms.

4. Technical knowledge of sensors, instrumentation calibration, signal communication (analog, digital, fieldbus), and industrial networks such as Ethernet/IP, Modbus, and Profinet.

5. Working knowledge of MES integration, data visualisation, cloud-based analytics, and IoT platforms.

6. Knowledge of ISO, GMP, and SHEQ standards, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and automation software tools.
