Job Description
Job Purpose
Lead automation, digitalisation, and Industry 4.0 initiatives by designing and integrating control, instrumentation, and data systems for glove manufacturing operations.
Develop and implement advanced control strategies, sensor networks, and real-time monitoring systems to improve process efficiency, traceability, and predictive maintenance.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver smart factory transformation aligned with Hartalega’s digital roadmap.
Responsibilities
1. Task Execution - Execute assigned control and digitalization tasks as directed by the Senior Engineer, meeting quality and timeline expectations.
2. PLC and SCADA Support - Assist in PLC program development, SCADA tag configuration, and HMI screen preparation under supervision.
3. Data Platform Support - Support InfluxDB and Grafana setup, dashboard panel building, and data pipeline configuration as directed.
4. Protocol Assistance - Assist with Modbus, MQTT, and TCP/IP device configuration and basic troubleshooting under supervision.
5. Commissioning Assistance - Support loop checking, functional testing, and FAT/SAT activities under Senior Engineer direction.
6. Documentation - Prepare and maintain wiring lists, tag registers, and test records to team documentation standards.
7. Fault Finding Support - Assist in diagnosing control faults and communication errors; document findings for Senior Engineer review.
8. Standards Awareness - Develop working knowledge of control engineering standards, IT/OT requirements, and company procedures.
9. Continuous Learning - Actively build competency in PLC, SCADA, data platforms, and AI tools through mentoring and training.
10. Safety Compliance - Follow all HSE and cybersecurity procedures; report unsafe conditions or security concerns immediately.
Qualification and Experience
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Control and Instrumentation, Automation Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
2. Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in automation, instrumentation, or digitalisation projects within a manufacturing or process industry; fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
3. Proficiency in PLC, SCADA, and HMI programming using Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or equivalent platforms.
4. Technical knowledge of sensors, instrumentation calibration, signal communication (analog, digital, fieldbus), and industrial networks such as Ethernet/IP, Modbus, and Profinet.
5. Working knowledge of MES integration, data visualisation, cloud-based analytics, and IoT platforms.
6. Knowledge of ISO, GMP, and SHEQ standards, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and automation software tools.
7. Basic knowledge of dashboard development using Grafana, with a basic understanding of InfluxDB and Node-RED.
