Job Description
Job Purpose
Plan, coordinate and implement HSE measures to ensure a safe, healthy, and compliant workplace that meets performance targets, legal requirements, and industry best practices.
Responsibilities
1. Verify workplace compliance with OSHA, EQA, PTW, High-Risk Permits, and ISO 45001/ISO 14001 requirements.
2. Liaise with DOSH and related authorities, address citations, and update safety policies to prevent recurrence.
3. Lead incident investigations, perform root-cause analysis, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
4. Conduct regular inspections of plant, office, safety systems, firefighting equipment, housekeeping, pest control activities, and scheduled-waste handling.
5. Organize HSE trainings and drills, including fire, chemical spill, and first-aid exercises, and document all training activities.
6. Respond to emergencies and operate safely under special conditions such as work at height or confined/pressurized environments.
7. Manage facility cleanliness, hygiene, landscaping, and maintenance, and track defects through the CMMS system.
8. Train employees on HSE practices and promote a culture of continuous safety improvement.
9. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to drive safety awareness and regulatory compliance.
10. Perform additional HSE-related duties assigned by the superior within the department’s scope.
Qualification and Experience
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Health, Safety and Environment or a related field.
2. Fresh Graduate or 1 year of working experience in similar HSE-related roles (preferred).
3. Knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and Permit-to-Work systems (PTW/HRP).
4. Ability to conduct inspections, audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments.
5. Understanding of emergency response procedures, fire safety oversight, and HSE training requirements.
6. Certified Safety and Health Officer.
