Job Description

Job Purpose

Coordinate and monitor emergency preparedness and firefighting system programs across manufacturing sites, ensuring compliance with OSHA 2024, BOMBA, and EQA requirements.

Collaborate with site HSE teams to implement standardized practices and strengthen fire safety system integrity and emergency response readiness across the organization.

Responsibilities

1. Coordinate and execute multi-scenario emergency drills (fire, chemical spill, gas leak, ammonia, chlorine, CAAS) with site HSE teams.

2. Design realistic drill scenarios and simulation plans to strengthen site emergency response readiness.

3. Review drill reports, validate findings, and track corrective-action closure for central visibility.

4. Consolidate drill performance data and prepare improvement analyses for management reporting.

5. Manage ERT training schedules, maintain training matrices, and track responder certification renewals.

6. Conduct ERT competency reviews and record assessment outcomes in centralized systems.

7. Facilitate cross-site emergency preparedness campaigns, awareness sessions, and knowledge-sharing activities.

8. Monitor inspection and preventive-maintenance schedules for firefighting systems (alarm panels, extinguishers, hydrants, sprinklers, hoses) and verify service completion records.

9. Maintain and update ER procedures, SOPs, and emergency plans under controlled documentation and versioning.

10. Compile BOMBA/DOSH/local council compliance files for inspections and Fire Certificate applications/renewals, and track ER inventory/budget data for monthly dashboards.

Qualification and Experience

1. Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Fire Safety, or a related discipline.

2. Minimum 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in industrial emergency preparedness, firefighting system management, or HSE operations.

3. In-depth knowledge of BOMBA regulations, OSHA (2024 Amendment), and EQA requirements and practices.

4. Familiarity with firefighting systems and ER infrastructure, including centralized fire alarm panels, pump houses, and FFE operations.

5. Experience in planning, conducting, and evaluating multi-scenario emergency drills and ERT activities.

6. Fire safety or ERT-related certification (e.g., NFPA, BOMBA-accredited, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
