Job Description
Job Purpose
Maintain the stability, reliability, and performance of the plant’s control systems and instrumentation through technical work, troubleshooting, and standardised maintenance practices. Lead improvement initiatives while enforcing company rules, regulations, and ISO 9001/GMP requirements.
Responsibilities
1. Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to PLCs, sensors, HMIs, and field instrumentation.
2. Plan and execute preventive maintenance and calibration activities for CNI systems.
3. Review and optimize control system logic to improve equipment performance and process reliability.
4. Lead small-scale automation improvements and software updates to existing control systems.
5. Maintain accurate, updated, and traceable documentation for instrumentation and control systems.
6. Coordinate work with technicians, vendors, and other departments during shutdowns, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
7. Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, GMP, and internal quality and safety procedures.
8. Keep records of calibration, repairs, and modifications to meet audit and operational requirements.
9. Identify and implement improvements for recurring failures and obsolete system components.
10. Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians while staying updated on relevant instrumentation and automation technologies.
Qualification and Experience
1. Bachelor Degree in Electrical, Control and Instrumentation, Mechatronic Engineering, or related discipline.
2. Minimum 5 years of working experience in engineering/ maintenance.
3. Programmable Logic Control (PLC), SCADA, AutoCAD.
4. Industry 4.0 (IoT/Automation).
5. Manufacturing technologies and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
6. Experience in PLC programming (Siemens, Fatek preferred).
7. Knowledge of sensor wiring, signal troubleshooting, and calibration procedures.
8. Familiar with plant instrumentation standards and preventive maintenance planning.
