Job Description
Job Purpose
Plan, execute, and improve plant mechanical and electrical engineering activities, including equipment maintenance, capital projects, and technical upgrades to drive safe and efficient operations. Focus on plant systems and infrastructure with active involvement in troubleshooting, planning, and cross-departmental coordination. Enforce compliance with ISO 9001, GMP, and company regulations.
Responsibilities
1. Respond to plant equipment breakdowns and technical issues to restore operations promptly.
2. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems, conduct technical assessments, and resolve recurring faults.
3. Execute maintenance and repair activities with hands-on involvement while upholding safety standards.
4. Inspect plant equipment through routine walkabouts and identify areas requiring corrective action.
5. Plan and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance for plant equipment and utility systems.
6. Collaborate with production, utilities, contractors, and vendors to align maintenance and improvement activities with operational priorities.
7. Deliver plant improvement and capital projects by managing planning, scheduling, and scope.
8. Maintain and update maintenance history, technical drawings, SOPs, and daily engineering reports.
9. Enforce compliance with health, safety, environmental, and company standards in all engineering activities.
10. Drive continuous improvement initiatives, implement corrective actions, and train technicians and junior engineers.
Qualification and Experience
1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronic Engineering, or equivalent
2. Minimum 3 years of plant maintenance experience in manufacturing or industrial settings
3. Knowledge of Industry 4.0 (IoT/Automation), manufacturing technologies, and GMP
4. Understanding of mechanical and electrical plant systems (motors, pumps, piping, utilities)
5. Experience in maintenance planning and execution
6. Ability to read technical drawings, PnIDs, and electrical schematics
7. Familiarity with plant safety standards and operational controls
8. Skilled in troubleshooting and technical problem-solving
