Job Description

Job Purpose

Conduct market research and strategic analysis to support the company’s long-term growth and competitive positioning.

Drive insights on industry, market, customers, and competitors, develop market intelligence capabilities, and support strategic planning processes aligned with Corporate Initiatives and Operating Framework.

Contribute to the formulation and execution of growth strategies, including market development and strategic partnerships, to enhance Hartalega’s market share and business sustainability.

Responsibilities

1. Conduct market research, industry benchmarking, and competitor analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities supporting strategic planning.

2. Develop and maintain market intelligence data and information sources, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and accessibility for analysis.

3. Prepare reports on market developments, customer trends, competitor landscape, and technology advancements, and translate findings into structured insights for business decision-making.

4. Execute activities for the annual planning process under Corporate Initiatives and Operating Framework, including data preparation, consolidation, and tracking of planning inputs.

5. Track corporate initiatives by monitoring KPIs, timelines, and progress, and highlight variances, risks, and issues for further action.

6. Analyse market expansion, business diversification, and partnership opportunities, and provide data-driven inputs for evaluation of growth strategies.

7. Coordinate with internal stakeholders to obtain data, align inputs, and ensure timely execution of strategic initiatives and planning activities.

8. Analyse market and business data, identify key issues, evaluate implications, and present structured insights with actionable recommendations to facilitate evaluation of strategic opportunities and decision-making.

9. Execute assigned tasks in alignment with corporate priorities and strategic objectives.

Qualification and Experience

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Finance, Engineering, or a related field; MBA is an added advantage.

2. Minimum of 4 years of experience in similar roles and responsibilities.

3. Analyse information and provide actionable solutions to support decision making.

4. Demonstrate strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks to achieve optimal results.

5. Produce high-quality work using Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and presentations.

6. Apply proactive problem-solving skills and resourcefulness in delivering outcomes.
