Job Description

Job Purpose

Lead centralized oversight and coordination of firefighting systems and emergency preparedness across all manufacturing sites, ensuring compliance with OSHA 2024, BOMBA, and EQA.

Collaborate with site HSE teams to standardize and enhance emergency response readiness and fire safety system integrity organization wide.

Responsibilities

1. Plan and coordinate multi-scenario emergency drills (fire, chemical, chlorine, ammonia, CAAS) with site HSE and Operations teams, and document post-drill learnings for improvement.

2. Lead Emergency Response training programs and act as principal trainer for ER/ERT across all sites.

3. Manage ERT competency frameworks, certification tracking, and responder coverage to meet site readiness requirements.

4. Oversee inspection, maintenance, and performance verification of centralized firefighting systems (alarm panels, pump houses, extinguishers, hydrants, sprinklers, hoses).

5. Review, update, and standardize ER procedures, SOPs, and response plans, maintaining controlled documentation for audits.

6. Manage compliance with BOMBA, OSHA 2024, and EQA by coordinating Fire Certificate renewals, insurance files, and authority inspections.

7. Coordinate vendor contracts, licenses, and service agreements for firefighting systems and ER readiness, including renewal tracking.

8. Manage firefighting equipment inventory, tagging, and stock readiness across plants.

9. Analyze drill outcomes, incident data, and system performance, track corrective actions, and prepare monthly management reports.

10. Drive fire-safety improvement initiatives through cross-site benchmarking, innovation, and system enhancement projects.

Qualification and Experience

1. Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Fire Safety, or a related discipline.

2. Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in industrial emergency preparedness, firefighting system management, or HSE operations.

3. In-depth knowledge of BOMBA regulations, OSHA (2024 Amendment), and EQA standards and compliance practices.

4. Familiarity with firefighting systems and ER infrastructure, including centralized fire alarm panels, pump houses, and FFE operations.

5. Experience in planning, conducting, and evaluating multi-scenario emergency drills and ERT readiness programs.

6. Fire safety or ERT-related certification (e.g., NFPA, BOMBA-accredited, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
