Job Description
OVERVIEW
Responsible for managing breakdown maintenance, preventive maintenance, and improvement projects across all company premises to ensure operational efficiency and equipment reliability.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee and provide guidance for electrical and mechanical breakdown maintenance, preventive maintenance, and improvement projects across all areas within Hartalega premises.
- Monitor overall equipment efficiency (OEE) and develop plans to minimize downtime and meet KPI targets.
- Ensure standardization of maintenance practices and project implementation across all plants.
- Collaborate with other departments and plants on critical work execution and standard operating procedures.
- Lead and train managers and engineers to improve productivity, efficiency, and quality output.
- Keep up to date with the latest manufacturing technologies and assess their potential to improve operations.
- Promote a culture of teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement within the department.
- Ensure all expenditures remain within the approved budget.
- Liaise with government officers, particularly during audits, to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Communicate strategic plans and management goals clearly to the team.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards, GMP, and company policies and regulations.
- Address and resolve internal and external customer complaints promptly.
- Drive innovation and process improvements, especially in areas with frequent breakdowns or non-user-friendly equipment.
- Ensure all tasks are completed within set deadlines and provide regular feedback to superiors on unresolved issues.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by superiors.
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or any Engineering discipline.
Work Experience:
Minimum 10 years of experience in process manufacturing.
Technical and Professional Knowledge:
Manufacturing technologies and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Operational excellence tools and principles (e.g., Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Value Streams).
Strong understanding of manpower planning, cost structure, and facilities and equipment maintenance.
