Job Description
OVERVIEW
- The Senior Manager – Investor Relations and M&A plays key role overseeing the Group’s investor relation and strategizing and executing the Group’s business diversification objective.
- The Senior Manager is responsible to overseeing the Group’s M&A project management processes, including identify a potential target, due diligence, financial planning, scoping, closing and integration.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
On Investor Relations
- Act as primary point of contact between the Group/Company and shareholders, fund managers and analysts by addressing questions and updating the investment community of relevant information.
- Overseeing the Manager/Assistant Manager – Investor Relations in performing:
- Organise and coordinate road shows, conferences, and briefings to provide updates on the Company’s financial results to bankers, institutions and investors.
- Create presentations, press releases and other communication materials for investors, fund managers and analysts during industry events, shareholder meetings, press conferences and private meetings.
- Production of annual reports
- Analyse the Company’s performance metrics, including analysing financial data, spotting trends and developing forecasts.
- Monitor the Company’s strategy, financial and operational changes and develop investor relations messages based on these changes.
- Monitor research reports produced by financial analysts and summarise them for the Executive Chairman and Directors/CXOs
- Conduct comprehensive research and competitive analysis on the stock performance of competing companies and present findings to the Executive Chairman and Directors/CXOs
- Monitor and assess stock trading patterns as a result of public disclosure or publication of analyst reports.
- Set up, maintain, and update the Investor Relations section of the Company Website.
- Provide feedback to Executive Chairman and Directors regarding the Investment community’s perception of the Company.
On M&A
- Perform research and monitor commercial business and identify development opportunities of the target companies that meet the Group’s strategic intent, both from strategic impact and contribution
- Liaise with external stakeholders to identify the potential target company
- Develop financial models to be used in the financials assessment of target company
- Develop and review various finance and operational processes for all acquisitions and mergers.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for the M&A processes
- Liaise with financial institution when there is a funding requirement for the M&A deal
- Working closely with external experts in due diligence stage for scoping and deliverable on timely manner
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, Business Administration or related field.
- Masters (MBA) qualification is an added advantage
- Minimum 8 years in finance or investor relations or 8 years relevant working experience in international investment banks.
- Strong executive presence and good business acumen
- Excellent analytical skills
