SENIOR TECHNICIAN - FACILITY (COGENERATION)

Job Description

OVERVIEW

• To carry out maintenance and operation of Co-Generation and Boiler System in order to optimize the production operation by minimizing the downtime.

• Lead the team in completing all the facilities related jobs.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• To carry out operation and maintenance for Co-Generation system and Boiler system.

• To carry out operation and maintenance for DI Water system, Softener Water system and Cooling Tower.

• Ready for on-call duty after working hours.

• Understand and willing to work in shift.

• To ensure the hot water parameters meet the production demands.

• To ensure power and hot water quality.

• To ensure the Substations and Co-Generation system availability, and output quality.

• To ensure all HSE and 5S practices meet the requirements.

• To ensure ability to handle chemical with proper procedure.

• To understand the classification of Schedule Waste and Disposal method.

• To ensure give feedback to superior regarding any issues/items.

• To ensure works/jobs efficiency and quality.

• To improve department teamwork.

• To understand the reporting hierarchy and Issue to be reported.

• To understand the company rules and regulation.

• To perform any other tasks assigned by the superior.

• To perform housekeeping to entire Cogen & Boiler Room and Control Room area.

• To ensure KPI achievements.

• Ensure boilers systems always operating in the optimized conditions.

• To ensure all documents are done and in compliance with ISO and to keep track of all records. (Checklists, commissioning reports, etc)

• Assist engineers and supervisors in project execution.

• To always look for ways to reduce breakdown time and prevent breakdown.

REQUIREMENTS

Education:

• Minimum Certificate, or Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

•            ICE Engine Driver – Grade 1 certified by DOSH.

• Wireman (PW4) or Chargeman (A0/A1) – certified by Suruhanjaya Tenaga.

Work Experience:

• Experience in General Electric (GE) Co-Generation system. (Most preferable)

• Experience in other brand Co-Generation system. (Preferable)

• Experience in HV Generator system.

• Experience with Hot Water Boiler system.

• No working experience required.

Technical and Professional Knowledge:

• Strong team player and possess leadership qualities.

• Strong problem-solving skills.

• Assist engineer and supervisor when needed.

• Good attitude and meet deadlines of job.

• Able to work independence and think logically.

• Good knowledge in both mechanical and electrical engineering.

• Certified with Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) Engine Driver.

• Experience in operation of compressor, cogeneration, and hot water boiler.

• Able to do maintenance work, servicing, and troubleshooting.

• Able to read, write and speak in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

• Know how on water pump system and operation.
