Job Description
OVERVIEW:
The incumbent oversees in-process quality assurance activities on the production floor to ensure gloves meet internal, regulatory, and customer standards. This role leads QA teams across shifts, ensuring effective quality system implementation, real-time defect monitoring, accurate data reporting, and corrective action execution. The Supervisor plays a key role in maintaining product consistency and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Daily
- Plan and coordinate QAI sampling as per SOP/Work Instruction.
- Verify watertight, visual, and dimension tests.
- Ensure proper segregation of finished goods in production, packing, and QAI.
- Report and investigate deviations/nonconformities to Executive/Manager.
- Monitor QAI attendance, rest times, and compliance with company rules, safety, and health policies.
- Provide guidance, training, and conduct evaluations for subordinates.
- Ensure timely and accurate data compilation, in line with GDP requirements.
Weekly
- Coordinate with PSI Supervisor for document retrieval and traceability.
- Conduct toolbox briefings as per HSE requirement.
- Ensure hygiene control before shift starts.
- Compile maintenance reports and ensure corrective action completion.
- Clear overdue documents/samples and highlight issues for improvement.
- Oversee staging error clearance and cycle clearance.
- Issue rework batch orders (RBO) and release quality orders.
Monthly
- Prepare monthly schedule for group leaders and inspectors.
- Arrange manpower for reject glove handling at waste area.
- Conduct toolbox briefings and internal training for subordinates.
- Participate in stock take and cycle/stock count activities.
- Support audit preparation and ensure good document control.
Annual
- Conduct SOJT training, refresher training, and buddy system support.
- Participate in HSE evacuation drills and KPI briefings.
- Ensure inspector and group leader competency meets AGR&R requirements.
Perform other assigned tasks.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
- Minimum SPM (Certificate / Diploma in Science/ Engineering will be advantage) or relevant
Work Experience:
- Preferably with 3-4 years of working experience in quality assurance
Technical and Professional Knowledge:
- Able to read and follow SOPs, work instruction and inspection guidelines.
- Good communication skills in Bahasa Melayu and English (both verbal and written).
- Disciplined and upholds high integrity in ensure group leader and inspector follow SOP.
- Responsible, reliable, and committed to ensure QAI operations run smooth.
- Intermediate computer skills for data compilation and report generation (e.g., Excel, inspection templates).
- Ability to analyse problem and solve problem related to QAI operations.
- Ability to organize and provide guidance.
- Ability to lead and motivate subordinates.
